Elevated oleic acid serum concentrations and Alcohol Dependence



The goal of this research was to explore whether there is a significant change of serum FA composition in patients suffering from alcohol dependence. An elevated oleic acid ratio seems to be a state marker for acute alcohol use. It may be a relevant trait marker during detoxification and the subsequent therapeutic measures.
